I don’t know. Go ask your mother.
there is no other
that knows as much.
and as such
she’s the one to ask.
Mothers know everything, they know it all.
when you fall
and when you rise
they feel your cries
of pain or joy.
When you have doubts and need the answer
to be a dancer
or a civil engineer
they listen and hear
the desire in your heart.
Why do you think that phrase has persisted
and none have resisted
the implication
that the vocation
of mom is closest to God?
