They suggest setting a goal that limits the number of times each day you check the news or social apps, and that research shows that it takes you 4 times as long to complete a task at hand when you are distracted.

They suggest using FRICTION: tiny obstacles we add or remove from our routines to develop healthier habits.

only allow notifications that are sent from real people- like texts and phone calls.

It stands to reason that if we have any hope of teaching our children healthier digital and screen habits, we have to start first with ourselves!
